At Voiceworks, we’re dedicated to nurturing young talent in singing, acting, and dancing. Our experienced tutors bring professional expertise to each discipline, ensuring students receive top-quality training.

School Director
Lesley Henry
Lesley Henry is the founder and artistic director of Voiceworks, established in 2014. A seasoned vocal coach with more than 25 years’ experience, Lesley has worked as a performer, teacher and artistic director, bringing a wealth of knowledge to every student she trains.
A trained soprano and Teaching Fellow of the London College of Music, she is widely recognised for her high standards in vocal pedagogy and her ability to nurture talent at every stage.
For over a decade, Lesley has directed, produced and created original productions from the ground up at Voiceworks, giving hundreds of young performers the opportunity to experience professional level theatre. Under her leadership, the school has staged large-scale musicals, junior productions and showcases that have achieved top results in theatre arts across Northern Ireland.
Her vision is clear: to combine professional training with a supportive environment where students grow in confidence, skill and creativity — both on stage and beyond

School Manager
Claire McKane
Claire is a primary school teacher with a Master's in Education from Stranmillis University College and a passion for working with children. As Business Manager for Voiceworks Ballymena, she ensures smooth communication and a welcoming environment for families. Claire also serves as the backstage manager for summer musicals and holds a Grade 8 Distinction in Musical Theatre. She views the Voiceworks team as a family, dedicated to fostering confidence and growth in students.

Head Drama Tutor
Charlie McCready
Charlie is from Ballymena and began his Voiceworks journey in 2016. A graduate of Drama at Queen’s University Belfast, he has since worked with a range of companies including Voiceworks, where he is Lead Drama Tutor, Ulster Operatic Company as Assistant Production Manager, and MR Sports as Head of Dance and Drama. On the production side, Charlie has assistant directed and directed multiple Voiceworks shows, including The Little Mermaid Jr. and Moana Jr., as well as directing All Shook Up and 9 to 5 for Queen’s Musical Theatre Society. Charlie is excited to return to Voiceworks, combining his love of drama and teaching to create memorable experiences for young performers.

Assistant Drama Tutor
Orla
​Hi, I’m Orla, the Assistant Acting Teacher at Voiceworks. Performing has always been a central part of my life, and I’m currently in my third year studying Drama at Queen’s University Belfast. I also hold a Diploma in Musical Theatre Singing, and have been involved in a wide range of theatrical productions — both on stage and behind the scenes. From playing leading roles to directing student plays, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for all aspects of performance. I especially love directing and bringing out the strengths in each performer, something I carry into every class I teach. At Voiceworks, I enjoy using my training and theatre experience to help young people build confidence, develop their skills, and discover their passion for the stage

Head Dance Tutor
Jordan Rosborough
Jordan joined Voiceworks in 2022 and is back again after a successful 2023 with 'Madagascar Jr.' and 'Grease', and eagerly anticipating 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'. A performer from age 4, Jordan earned a London College of Music Musical Theatre Diploma with Distinction and has choreographed for various musical societies. Notable roles include Morticia in 'The Addams Family', and she was nominated for ‘Best Comedienne’ at the 2023 AIMS Awards.

Assistant Dance Tutor
Hallie Young
​Hallie has over 15 years of dance experience, training in ballet, tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop. She has completed graded exams in ballet, tap, and modern, and was awarded a dance scholarship in Scotland. Hallie has performed at the Dance World Cup (Prague 2024) and is set to compete again in 2026. A long-time Voiceworks performer, she has featured in shows such as Annie, Oliver, Joseph, Hairspray, Grease, and Footloose, with principal and featured dance roles. She also holds up to Grade 7 in musical theatre and has previous teaching experience with Ballymena Dance Academy. Hallie now brings her energy and expertise to the team as a Saturday dance assistant

Head Vocal Tutor
Sean Harkin
Sean, a drama studies graduate from Queen's University Belfast and a recent graduate of Ulster University's PGCE course in primary teaching, has been a singing and drama tutor since 2018 in other Theatre Schools and privately. In his first year at Voiceworks, Sean proudly oversaw the music for both 'The Little Mermaid Jr' and 'Moana Jr'. A talented performer with multiple A.I.M.S. and N.O.D.A. nominations, Sean will soon star as Lt. 'Sweaty' Eddie Souther in 'Sister Act' in Castleblayney and The Ghost of Jacob Marley in 'A Christmas Carol' in Theatre at the Mill

Assistant Vocal Tutor
Lisa Hutchinson
Lisa is starting her first year as an Assistant Singing Tutor at Voiceworks. At 18, she studies Business Management at Queen’s University Belfast and holds Grade 8 certifications in Classical Singing, Flute, and Piano, with additional skills in saxophone, guitar, and violin. Passionate about music, Lisa has trained church choirs, accompanied school groups, and taught piano, and she’s excited to share her love for music with students at Voiceworks.

Junior Assistant
Erin Ashe
​Erin is a Junior Assistant at Voiceworks, passionate about helping young children reach their full potential. At 18 years old, she is currently studying Primary Education with a specialism in Music at Stranmillis University College. Erin holds a Grade 8 qualification in Musical Theatre Singing and also plays the trumpet. She has performed in stage productions such as Mary Poppins, Annie, and Oliver!. Erin is dedicated to supporting and inspiring students as she works toward her goal of becoming a primary school teacher
