ABOUT US

Voiceworks was established in 2014 after summer projects that revealed a real need for accessible performing arts in the local area. We had a real desire to provide local children with a high standard, musical theatre performing experience through intensive summer courses leading to a full-scale musical.

We have treasured memories of treading the boards with previous productions including Footloose,Curtain Up, Westside Story, My Fair Lady, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Oliver! Annie, Aladdin Jr, Annie Jr and Hairspray Jr. Productions would not have been possible had it not been for our talented and committed creative team and cast. In 2018 Voiceworks produced their first of a series of junior productions to allow more opportunities and roles for younger performers.

In September 2015, Voiceworks were thrilled to open its own Saturday morning performing arts school. Since then the school has gone from strength to strength, competing in various dance and musical theatre competitions.

Ballymena School

Our Saturday Schools give students the chance to receive regular tuition in the discipline of singing, acting and dancing. We have classes available from ages six to nineteen years old, the classes are further split into age-appropriate groups and led by our fantastic team of staff who are not only experienced tutors but talented performers.

In our school students are taught a wide variety of essential skills and techniques within each theatre discipline of acting, singing and dance.

We place emphasis on both individual and group development within a fun environment giving students the vital skills they need for both the stage and everyday life. In order to further the development and performance opportunities for our students, our school works towards competitions and showcase performances whilst still maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere within the class. Voiceworks previous Saturday School productions have included Matilda Jr. (2023),
